Itinerary
Day 1: Board our transatlantic flight to MUNICH, GERMANY.
Day 2: After arrival in Germany we drive to RUHPOLDING, high up in the Alps, to our Alpine chalet hotel, home for the next week. We will have time to explore the lovely shops and boutiques in town before going to our hotel for check-in and dinner.

Day 3: Into Austria this morning to Mozart's birthplace and where "The Sound of Music" was filmed, SALZBURG! The smell of roasting almonds and wood fires drifts over this magical city. The Christmas markets here are known for their salt confections and candles.

|
Day 4: Today we take the train into MUNICH, famous for beer, brats, oom-pah bands and the Hofbräuhaus. We will see the Marien Platz, center of the Old Town, the Frauenkirche, "Our Lady's Church" and the fabled Glockenspiel. You will have a wonderful afternoon browsing the endless market stalls at the Christmas Market.

Day 5: Across the snowy Alps to the winter Alpine capital of INNSBRUCK Austria, twice site of the Winter Olympics. The Alps rise high above as you wander the cobblestone streets finding unique gifts for your family and friends.

Day 6: Known for its Christmas celebrations and markets for more than 600 years, Bad Tölz beckons us today. A famous Bavarian resort, Bad Tölz charms everyone with its bells, carolers, bands and wonderful fresh air wood ovens and mulled wine.

|
Day 7: We begin the day by crossing Lake Chiemsee by ship to visit the Christmas Market on the Frauen Island. A unique experience in itself. Later we drive into the Bavarian Woods to the "Market in the Woods", the Waldmarkt, with over 300 booths of Bavarian craftsmanship. An unforgettable day.

Day 8: After an adventure filled week we transfer to the airport to board our transatlantic flight back to the USA.
