Itinerary Day 1: Board our transatlantic flight.
Day 2: Arrive in EUROPE and spend the afternoon in the delightful Alpine town of RUHPOLDING, GERMANY. Relax at a cafe and marvel at the stupendous scenery.

Day 3: A whole day in wonderful MUNICH, GERMANY. We will see the Olympic Park, the famous Hofbrauhaus and Beer Garten, BMW World Headquarters, and the famous "Glockenspiel" in the New City Hall.
Day 4: We motor to nearby SALZBURG, AUSTRIA, famed for "The Sound of Music", Mozart and Torte! A walking tour of the city acquaints us with the town square and the 300 year old Tomacelli Cafe, Mozart´s birthplace, the Salzburg Cathedral and Music Hall, and the mighty Salzburg Fortress, guarding the city for centuries.

Day 5: For those who wish, a wonderful Alpine walk in the mountains above Ruhpolding. In the afternoon we visit the incomparable HERRENCHIEMSEE CASTLE. Built by King Ludwig II, it is a copy of the magnificent Versailles Palace but set on a lovely island.
Day 6: Across the Alps to VIPITANO, ITALY. This town is filled with the wonderful smells of olive oil, pasta, cannelloni and wine. Bathed in sunshine, this is the place for leather goods.
Day 7: Across southern Germany toward France, we will stop in one of the villages for a break. Later we continue to IHRINGEN, GERMANY, one of the most famous wine villages in the world, not far from the RHINE RIVER.
Day 8: Across the Rhine River into FRANCE to visit the verdant wine villages of COLMAR and RIQUEWIHR, France. Both are famous for their medieval village centers, luscious wine, great food, cobblestone streets and crusty French bread.

Day 9: This morning we visit FREIBURG, the famous university town, with its soaring cathedral and open-air market. Later it´s on to the BLACK FOREST of GERMANY, birthplace of many Grimm Fairy Tales, legends of kings and goblins, and the Black Forest Cherry Torte!
Day 10: South today into SWITZERLAND to the beautiful city of LUCERNE, surrounded by towering, glistening snow-capped Alps. We´ll visit the geographically important GLACIAL GARDENS, the medieval Kapelle Bridge and take a stroll around the town.
Day 11: Across the Rhine River to STRASBOURG, FRANCE, dominated by the stupendous Cathedral de Notre Dame. We´ll spend the afternoon along the lovely canals in the Venetian Quarter. Later in IHRINGEN, we will have a WINERY TOUR and TASTING of the remarkable wines of the area.
Day 12: After an adventure-filled trip, we transfer to the airport for our return flight to the USA.
