Itinerary Day 1: Board our transatlantic flight in Detroit.
Day 2: Arrival in Athens. Our private coach drives us to CORINTH and on to MYCENAE, birthplace of Western Civilization, site of the palace of Agamemnon and Clytemnestra. Later, to the beautiful Aegean town of Nafplion.

Day 3: West across the Peloponneses, stopping in some picturesque mountain villages, before arriving at OLYMPIA to visit the fascinating Museum and the actual site of the games and the stadium from 776 BC! Overnight in Olympia.
Day 4: Northeast to DELPHI to visit one of the most important sites of the ancient world, the Temple of Athena, where the Oracle sat and told the great and mighty what the future may bring. Situated on a mountainside, the site still vibrates with energy even today. Overnight in Delphi.

Day 5: An early stop in ARAHOVA to see the hand made carpets and the lovely mountain village. Later we motor to Cape Sounion to visit the beautiful temple of POSEIDON, high on a cliff side overlooking the Aegean Sea. Later we return to Athens to overnight.
Day 6: This morning we board our ship for the AEGEAN CRUISE during which we will enjoy breakfast, lunch and dinner daily. After a relaxing afternoon cruising the blue Mediterranean we land at the famous resort island of MYKONOS for some exploration.
Day 7: This morning we arrive in TURKEY. You may wish to visit the ancient Roman city of Biblical fame, EPHESUS. There will be some free time to stroll the lovely Turkish city of Kushadasi and sample some wonderful pistachio baclava. The next stop is Patmos where you may choose to visit the shrine to St. John at the spot where he wrote the Apocolypse in the Bible.
Day 8: The island of CRETE is our first stop today. If you wish, visit the site of the Minoan Civilization, one of the most advanced of the ancient world and from which so many legends and myths spring. The Palace of Knossus had running water in 4000BC! This afternoon it´s on to SANTORINI, perhaps the site of legendary ATLANTIS. Incredibly, Santorini is the rim of an ancient volcano and was the site of the most powerful volcanic blast in recorded history, sometime in the 17th century BC. Today it is a beautiful artist´s colony with spectacular sunsets.

Day 9: We return to Athens today and visit the world famous ACROPOLIS, site of the unparalleled PARTHENON, one of the most well-known structures on the planet. The entire Acropolis is a vast archaeological site containing the Caryatids, the Propylae and the unmatched Acropolis Museum. This afternoon we´ll spend some time in the wonderful Greek and Turkish market area of the PLAKA. Overnight Athens.
Day 10: Today we visit the NATIONAL ARCHAEOLOGICAL MUSEUM, finest in the world. The pieces here tell the story of the ancient world as if they were a book. Later stroll the Monastiraki, the old Turkish bazaar, visit the Agora, the ancient Athenian forum, or relax in the Plaka.
Day 12: After an adventure-filled trip, we transfer to the airport for our return flight to the USA.
