Itinerary
Day 1: Board the transatlantic flight to Athens.
Day 2: Arrival in Athens. Across the Corinth Strait to MYCENAE, birthplace of Western Civilization, site of the palace of Agamemnon and Clytemnestra. Later, to the beautiful Aegean town of Nafplion.

Day 3: West across the Peloponneses, stopping in some picturesque mountain villages, before arriving at OLYMPIA to visit the fascinating Museum and the actual site of the games and the stadium from 776 BC! Overnight in Olympia.

Day 4: Northeast to DELPHI to visit one of the most important sites of the ancient world, the Temple of Apollo, where the Oracle sat and told the great and mighty what the future would bring. Situated on a mountainside, the site still vibrates with energy even today. Overnight in Delphi.

Santorini

Day 5: Southeast to Piraeus, the port of Athens, to board our ship for SANTORINI. Later in the day we arrive and begin to explore this Mediterranean paradise, high on the lip of an ancient caldera.

Day 7: Return flight to Athens this morning. This afternoon we visit the iconic ACROPOLIS and the incomparable PARTHENON. Later we will explore the Monastiraki, the old Turkish bazaar area.

Day 8: This morning we visit the NATIONAL ARCHAEOLOGICAL MUSEUM, foremost in the world, to see how the civilizations of the eastern Mediterranean formed our Western World. This afternoon relax or visit the new Acropolis Museum.
