Itinerary Day 1: Overnight flight to Spain.
Day 2: MADRID. Arrive in Madrid and spend the afternoon relaxing and exploring this great metropolis. Dinner this evening will be at a popular Spanish restaurant.

Day 3: MADRID. After a tour of the historic center with the Puerta del Sol and Plaza Mayor, we will tour the Prado Museum, which holds masterpieces of Velasquez, Murillo, El Greco and Goya. This afternoon we visit Toledo, with its Roman, Visigoth and Moorish backgrounds and visit the grand Gothic cathedral and the ancient Synagogue.
Day 4: SEVILLE. South today across the plains to the city which recently hosted the World's Fair, Seville. With its cool courtyards, lively squares and world-class shops is always a favorite.

Day 5: SEVILLE. Columbus' Tomb in the Gothic Cathedral is our goal this morning. The walking tour continues through the old Santa Cruz Quarter, Plaza D'Espana and the wonderful Maria Luisa Park. At a tapas lunch today a flemenco dancer will join us and explain the background and culture of the flamenco. Tonight we will see an authentic flamenco show featuring some of Seville´s best performers.
Day 6: GRENADA. Across the Sierra Nevadas Mountains to Grenada, the final capital of the Moors in Spain. A local expert will guide us through the world-famous Alhambra, the huge hilltop palace of the nobility. Later we visit the Generalife, or "Garden of the Architect", all beautifully landscaped.
Day 7: VALENCIA. Along the Mediterranean seacoast today to the city of Valencia. Spend the afternoon relaxing in the city and exploring the nearby shops and boutiques.
Day 8: VALENCIA. A tour of Valencia takes us to the Serranos and the Quart Towers as well as the busy central market with its thousands of stalls. A visit to the 13th century Gothic cathedral and a stop at the Lonja, the old Silk Exchange, round out the day. This afternoon we depart for Barcelona.

Day 9: BARCELONA. The capital of Catalonia is one of Spain's most famous cities and past host of the Summer Olympics. Our tour highlights the Las Ramblas Boulevard, the Columbus Monument, Parc Montjuic, Gaudis Cathedral "La Sagrada Familia" and Casa Mila.
Day 10: Transfer to the airport for our flight home.
