Day 3: We begin today with the little church of Santa Maria della Vittoria. A side trip takes us past Romeīs most well-known fountain, the Trevi Fountain. Then it is on to Santa Maria del Popolo. This afternoon walk the via Nazionale for leather goods, visit the Spanish Steps or the Capitoline Museums to see ancient Roman treasures.

Piazza Navona
Day 4: Today we begin with the 2000 year old magnificent Pantheon. Close by is the Piazza Navona with St. Agnes in Agony. A walk across the Tiber brings us to Castel San Angelo, the fortress of the popes. This afternoon visit the shops in via Veneto or stroll the ancient streets of Campo de Fiori, the true "old Rome".

Day 5: The day begins in St. Peterīs Square. We venture further into Vatican City and into St. Peterīs Basilica. We will also visit the incomparable Sistine Chapel and the Vatican Museums. Michelangelo's ceiling, perhaps the greatest art treasure in the world, has enchanted visitors for nearly 500 years. Later we visit the Vatican Museums, a treasure trove of some of the most important art works in western culture. Spend the afternoon at the ruins of Trajanīs Markets, which was the world's first shopping mall, built by Emporer Trajan in the 2nd century.

Day 6: Today is your chance to visit Florence, capital of Tuscany! The birthplace of the Renaissance, no other city is as closely related to Michelangelo and Leonardo dīVinci as this. The "David" is here as are the wonderful works of Botticelli. The high speed train takes less than 2 hours and glides through the beautiful countryside of TUSCANY before arriving in FLORENCE. We will stroll the lovely piazzas, enjoy the gelato and coffee, and see some of the world's greatest artistic treasures.

If you choose to stay in Rome, shop the via Cavour, the side streets of the Pantheon, re-visit the Vatican Museums, walk the first neighborhoods of Rome in Campo de Fiora or visit incomparable National Museum of Rome.

St. Peterīs Square
